The US Fish and Wildlife Services is requesting proposals to coordinate the preparation of the Conservation Strategy document to be incorporated in the CALFED revised draft programmatic EIS/EIR, due to be published in early spring of 1999. The contractor will work with Service staff, staff from CALFED and other CALFED agencies, involved stakeholders, and other consultants in the preparation of the Conservation Strategy. The contractor will prepare the final draft Conservation Strategy, incorporating and revising as necessary for style and consistency draft components of the document prepared by other members of the Conservation Strategy team and will prepare a draft Executive Summary, as well as a brief description of the Conservation Strategy for the main body of the EIS/EIR, based on the material in the final draft. Issue date is approximately January 20, 1999. The issue date is an estimate. Proposals will be due 20 days after actual issue date. All responsible proposals will be considered.
