solicitation as synopsized on November 30, 1998 is deleted in its
entirety and replaced with the following description: The Pentagon
Renovation Management Office is soliciting proposals for Indefinite
Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract in support of hazardous toxic
waste remedial actions. Delivery Orders shall be issued on a
Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee or Cost-Plus-Award-Fee basis, as determined by the
Contracting Officer. The Contractor shall furnish all personnel,
plant, and equipment to provide environmental support (remedial
actions/corrective measures) and related demolition and light
construction at hazardous waste sites in support of the Pentagon
Renovation Program. These services may include, but are not limited to
1) the demolition and removal of unsafe and/or contaminated building
structures containing such things as lead based paint and/or asbestos;
2) The tracing, cutting, capping, rerouting of utilities to include,
but not limited to, communication cables, electrical, HVAC supply
ducts, fire protection wiring, sprinkler lines, electrical feeds and
Defense Protective Service (DPS) cables, 3) The removal, excavation,
transport and disposal of tanks, drums, transformers and their
contents, contaminated soil and waste, mercury switches, mercury vapor,
PCB ballast (lighting), lead/acid batteries, and lead base glazes, 4)
The repair of barrier walls where utility penetrations are removed, 5)
The construction of barrier walls, construction access, staging areas,
construction site ventilation design, temporary mechanical, electrical,
plumbing and telecommunications (TEMP-MEP) and 6) The Construction of
caps, slurry walls, and grout curtains around waste sites. Demolition
of vertical sheet metal risers, treatment of waste and contaminated
soils both on and off-site. The work will also include the preparation
of work plans and project reports including but not limited to
Remedial Action Work Plans, a Chemical Data Acquisition Plan (CDAP), a
Site-Specific Safety Health Plan (SSHP), and a Waste Management Plan.
The work plans shall be prepared in accordance with requirements. The
contractor will be required to prepare as-built and shop drawings. The
Pentagon and most delivery/pick-up locations (including the Contractor
furnished and Government leased warehouses) are limited access
facilities requiring that all Contractor (and subcontractor) employees
be appropriately badged as a condition of working in that facility.
Legal resident aliens employed by the Contractor may request and be
issued a Pentagon Building Pass. Multiple awards (a maximum limit of 3)
may be awarded at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Award
consists of a basic contract of three years with two two (2) option
years to be exercised at the discretion of the Government for a total
of seven years. The cumulative (maximum) amount of orders shall not
exceed $280,000,000 over a possible seven year period between all
contracts. Subject solicitation will be released on CD-ROM at no cost
to interested parties on or about _January 25, 1999. A pre-proposal
conference will be held on or about _February 10, 1999. Written

accepted. **No new request is necessary from vendor's who requested a
