The contractor shall be responsible for providing an adequate number of upper air operators, who are certified upper air weather observers to take, document and disseminate upper air rawinsonde and RAWIN-RABAL comparison observations and to collect supplemental weather data. The contractor shall have one certified upper air observer on duty at the contract office between 0400 and 0800 and between 1600 and 2000 CST daily. The anticipated performance period is from April 1, 1999 through September 30, 1999, with two twelve month option periods. Solicitation will be issued on or about January 11, 1999.
