Solicitation Notice: The Contractor is to correct Life and Fire Safety deficiencies at the Federal Correctional Institution Fairton in Fairton, New Jersey. This project shall include, but not be limited to, the following: remove portions of existing wet-pipe sprinkler system and provide hydraulically designed wet-pipe sprinkler system at ceiling level only in the Institution Warehouse; modify existing dry pipe system including the removal and replacement of air compressor, installation of air supervisory and pressure switches and provide electronic valve supervisory devices on control valves in the Institution Training Center; remove and relocate existing diesel fire pump and all accessories from Pump House to a temporary location with a temporary shelter while completing the construction of a new Pump House; provide electrical modifications to the fire alarm and sprinkler system to identified buildings in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The period of performance for this project will be 250 calendar days. This project is unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns.
