The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Solicitation RFP-797-NC-99-0002, for Dept. of Veterans Affairs' and Department of Defense's, requirements for the following items: IBUPROFEN TABLETS, 400 mg, annual estimated usage: 42,061,400 tablets -- IBUPROFEN TABLETS, 600 mg, annual est. usage: 54,837,800 -- IBUPROFEN TABS., 800 mg., annual est. usage: 83,370,300. It is expected that Indian Health Service and Bureau of Prisons may submit additional requirements, but the Solicitation will clearly state whether these two agencies are included and if so, what their additional annual usage is expected to be. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year options. Distribution will be through the VA Prime Vendors and DoD Prime Vendors. Offers will be due 3/1/99.
