T -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR SPECIAL PRINTING DUE 031599 POC Sheryl Scheer (701) 747-5305 Request for Information (RFI) Grand Forks AFB, ND intends to discontinue issuing its construction solicitations by way of compact disk (currently mailed to prospective bidders). Rather we will post them to a web site for direct download by the bidders. SourceView software will be used for this purpose to include drawings since it is compatible with numerous CAD/CAM applications. Bidders will be able to view electronic drawings produced in SourceView by downloading the free reader application. Some contractors may want to print out the drawings, but not have such capability. We are seeking printing service vendors in the area with the capability to print out the drawings from SourceView for potential bidders. We will compile a listing of all known vendors and include them with our electronic solicitations for construction. The potential bidders will contact such vendor directly should they require a copy of the drawings. No contract between the government and the printing vendors is intended. If the bidders feel they need a hard copy of the prints to prepare a proposal, the cost will fall upon them to obtain the drawings.
