ELMENDORF AFB, ALASKA HAS A REQUIREMENT for Contractor to initiate specification of appropriate chain, sinker, and anchor location for 1 EACH, Causeway in Annette Bay. Contractor To off-load Causeway upon delivery in Ketchikan port and tow to Annette Bay. Contractor To pick up initiated sinker and chain provided by and from the USCG Armory in Ketchikan. If necessary, contractor will provide temporary storage of causeway. The Causeway weight 138,000 lbs, length 90 ft, and heigth 5 ft 3 in. Contractor shall secure and anchor Causeway to sufficiently hold 2 LCM-8 Vessels for a least 5 years of warranty. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written soliciation will not be issued. The Offer/Quote for (RFQ) F65501-99-QA006 closing date is of January 26, 1999 at 2:00 PM, Alaska Standard Time. Award will be made on/or about February 1, 1999, to the responsive, responsible offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the government.
