COAST GUARD AVIATION TRAINING CENTER, MOBILE, ALABAMA SOL DTCG82-99-B-DAX004 DUE 030999 POC Judy Stamper, 305-278-6724 Base Bid Item: Furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary for replacing a Wash Rack Apron. The existing concrete apron measures 180 feet x 107 feet varying in thickness from 6 to 10 inches. Install a combined surface and underground drainage system. Three-grate inlets combined will constitute the majority of the stormwater collection system. Subsurface flow is to be intercepted by 4 inch underdrain pipes and infiltration trenches constructed underneath the new apron. The underdrain pipes are to be connected to the three-grate inlets located within the apron. The concrete apron will be located in the same area as the existing apron. The new apron will measure 177 feet x 107 feet, 7 inches thick, unreinforced, except in the areas where storm drainage is located and the perimeter slabs with monolithic curb. Additive Item: Replace existing trench grates at each end of the aircraft hangar. Remove existing grates and frame structures. The new trench frame and grate system shall consist of a prefabricated system. The estimated price range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Bid guarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. There will be a charge of $20.00 for the specifications and drawings. The check is to be made payable to the U. S. Coast Guard.
