Contracting Officer, (210) 536-5769 The Air Force is requesting
information from industry to assist them in developing a road map for
AETC to lead simulation training into the new millennium. The full
realm of F-16 training using a high fidelity trainer is required.
Concepts from both Commercial Off the Shelf and/or new developments are
requested. The Air Force is also requesting rough, "ballpark" estimates
for unit and life cycle costs based on 8-14 units. The Air Force
foresees the following requirements for our next generation simulator
system:  Technical requirements  Hi-fidelity cockpits
 360 color visual system  Base network  3 phase
approach  phase 1: Sustain current syllabus requirements and
modernize (8 cockpits/visual systems)  phase 2: Enhance
training (6 more cockpits/visual systems)  phase 3: Advanced
opportunities (DMT, "ACMI" type debrief)  Specific options to
consider (WST re-host vs. UTD vs. new cockpit?) An Air Force/Industry
Conference to discuss and refine these requirements will be held 26-27
Jan 99 at Luke AFB AZ, beginning at 1:00 PM MST on 26 Jan, Bldg 938,
14325 W. Spad St., Luke AFB AZ. Opportunities for one-on-one meetings,
not to exceed 1 hour in length, with government representatives will
be provided beginning at 8:00 AM on 27 Jan 99. It is requested that no
more than 4 representatives per company attend this conference and
