The U.S. EPA Region 5 GLNPO has a requirement for 10,000 copies of the book entitled, "The Great Lakes Atlas, An Environmental Atlas and Resource Book." It is the agency's intention to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 with Environment Canada, 867 Lakeshore Road, P.O. Box 5050, Burlington, Ontario L7R4A6, Canada. It has been determined that the books required by the agency are available from only one responsible source, and no other book will satisfy agency requirements, because the book was a joint effort between the U.S. EPA and Environment Canada, for the Great Lakes National Program Office. RFQ-IL-99-00015 will be released on 27 Jan 99, and will close on 11 Feb 99. All responsible sources may submit a written quote which shall be considered by the agency. Numbered Note 26 applies.
