S -- HOSPITAL LAUNDRY AND LINEN SERVICES SOL RFP 636-14-99 DUE 022599 POC Karen Goodell, Contracting Officer, 402-449-0613 Contractor to furnish all labor, supervision, transportation, laundry plant, and related equipment, and supplies to provide laundry and linen services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska. The Contractor is to furnish, pick-up, launder, and deliver all items in accordance with the statement of work for an estimated 600,000 pounds of laundry per year. Pickup and delivery of laundry shall be accomplished 5 days per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:00 am and 11:30 am, excluding holidays. Workmanship shall be in compliance with practices established by National Association of Institutional Laundry Managers (NAILM) and VA laundry publications. Work shall be accomplished under sanitary conditions. Work area may be subject to inspection by Government Representatives. Separation of the soiled and clean linen shall be accomplished to prevent contamination of clean linens during all processes of laundering including pick up and delivery.Services are to be provided for the base period commencing April 1, 1999, through March 31, 2000, with 4 one year options to renew.
