Ammendment to Notice Published 1/8/99; this is responding to questions.
The UPS system MFG is Chloride Power Electronics, EDP70 Series: Cabinet
Models as follows -- EDP70/30/20B, 20KVA Rating, Qty. 1; EDP70/30/30C,
30KVA, Qty. 1; EDP70/50/40C, 50KVA, Qty. 3; EDP70/75/50C, 75KVA, Qty.
2. Current batteries are not adequate or EPA safe as batteries are
lead acid, overheat, expand/explode, thus creating a safety hazard.
Removal of batteries must be done after 5:00pm weekdays or on weekend
(which is preferred). The UPS system has a hot power source which must
be shut down per DOE lockout/tagout regulations in order to remove and
install batteries. Because this office does not have an EPA Certified
Site Accumulation Area, batteries removed during any given day can not
be left on site. Removal of batteries can be accomplished over a two
day period if done on weekend. Provide GNB (mfgr) or equal batteries:
75KVA is model 12MV70; 20KVA is model M12V30. Posted 01/13/99
