The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center has a requirement for 62 steel containers consisting of the following types and quantities: (1) 20 Foot (End Opening) 20 each; (2) 20 Foot Full Access (Side and End Opening)-20 each; (3) 40 Foot (Open Top/One End Opening)-20 each; and (4) 20 Foot Mobile Diesel Power Station (20KW)-2 each. Note that 11 of the 20 Foot Full Access containers require special construction. All containers shall comply with and be certified to the requirements of International Organization for Standards Numbers 668, 1161, 1495, 5346, the American Bureau of Shipping or Bureau Veritas or equal approved, U.S. Coast Guard Specifications for military explosives, Commandant Coast Guard Approval Number 0001-90, Revision 2, and the International Convention for Safe Conta iners per CFR 49, Parts 450 to 453. Containers shall be delivered FOB destination to one of the following two locations: U.S. Coast Guard Yard, Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD and U.S. Navy, Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, MS. All containers shall be delivered by July 30, 1999. The applicable SIC Code is 3537. The size standard is 750 employees.
