Systems Center has a requirement for 62 steel containers consisting of
the following types and quantities: (1) 20 Foot (End Opening) 20 each;
(2) 20 Foot Full Access (Side and End Opening)-20 each; (3) 40 Foot
(Open Top/One End Opening)-20 each; and (4) 20 Foot Mobile Diesel Power
Station (20KW)-2 each. Note that 11 of the 20 Foot Full Access
containers require special construction. All containers shall comply
with and be certified to the requirements of International Organization
for Standards Numbers 668, 1161, 1495, 5346, the American Bureau of
Shipping or Bureau Veritas or equal approved, U.S. Coast Guard
Specifications for military explosives, Commandant Coast Guard Approval
Number 0001-90, Revision 2, and the International Convention for Safe
Conta iners per CFR 49, Parts 450 to 453. Containers shall be delivered
FOB destination to one of the following two locations: U.S. Coast Guard
Yard, Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD and U.S. Navy, Construction Battalion
Center, Gulfport, MS. All containers shall be delivered by July 30,
1999. The applicable SIC Code is 3537. The size standard is 750
employees. The solicitation and any document related to this
procurement will be available on the Internet, these documents will be
available on a WWW server which may be accessed using Web browsers.

Contractors are warned that when they register to receive
solicitations, amendments and other notices, the responsibility for
providing the Government with an accurate and complete e-mail address
lies with the contractor. The Government will make no additional
efforts to deliver information when the system indicates that

Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Business
Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged busines s enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
