Jackson 202-307-9373, Contracting Officer The USMS seeks to obtain and indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for the housing, safekeeping, transportation, and stationary guard services for U.S. Marshals Service and INS pretrial detainees. The successful offeror is responsible to acquire and operate the facility. The detainees shall be housed in a facility capable of housing 300 plus and 150 (minimum guarantee) pre-trial detainees. The contract is expected to primarily serve the districts of Kansas, Nebraska, Eastern Missouri, Western Missouri, South Dakota, Southern Iowa and other Districts, as identified by the USMS on an as needed basis. The facility shall be located within a 100 mile radius from the federal court cities of Topeka, Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas city Missouri. The contractor shall operate the facility in compliance with all standards of the most recent edition of the American Correctional Association, Standard for Adult Local Detention facilities. The contractor shall obtain ACA accreditation within 24 months of contract award. The Government will consider offers that can reasonably demonstrate the offeror's ability to acquire (either through construction, lease or other arrangement) a facility if it can be ready and available for occupancy by Janurary- June of 2001.
