The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-98-G-0105 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company to procure nineteen (19) Airframe Change Kits (AFC) under Engineering Change Proposal MDA-AV8B-240,HAVEQUICK/SINCGARS Radio Sets with an option for eight (8) additional Kits. Deliveries are anticipated to begin fifteen (15) months after date of award at a rate of two (2) kits per month. MDC is the sole developer and integrator of the AV-8B aircraft and therefore, is the only known source with the expertise, technical data, equipment, and experienced personnel necessary to perform the required effort.
