The Department of the Navy is developing requirements for the procurement of additional AN/AAR-47 Missile Warning Sets (MWS) for production efforts and associated materials necessary to fulfil USN, USAF and FMS requirements. The MWS is a passive, missile approach warning system consisting of four sensor assemblies, a central processor unit and a control indicator. The AN/AAR-47 is used on USN/USMC, USAF, USA, and FMS helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. The estimated quantity is 250 systems for the base year and a maximum of 250 systems for each of the three following option years. The contractor shall fabricate and test the AN/AAR-47 MWS components in accordance with the current version of the AAR-47 drawing package as of the date of the RFP and the Statement of Work (SOW), dated 02 June 1995.
