This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. N49399-99-Q-0043 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 3569 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500. The successful contractor shall supply FOB destination to the Receiving Officer, Building 493, Naval Submarine Base, Supply Operations NLON, Groton, Ct. 06349-5500, on or about 15 February 1999. The machine is needed to bind polyvynalchloride sheets in the construction of radiological glove bag containments, as per the following nuclear requirements: max input power 220v, 3 phase, 45amps at full power(building constraints), frequency 27.12MHz, must be a stabilized frequency, min radio frequency power 10kw (for efficiency), min 6" pneumatic cylinder with 8" stroke (required to attain correct min applied pressure), upper plate min 18"x min 30", heated or unheated, work bedplate min 25"x min 36" (to accomodate size of containments to be constructed), Adjustable daylight 7"-11" (to accomodate size of bar & dies), external resonator assemble (safety requirement), gravity (low pressure) decent control (safety requirement), separate radio frequency start control, separate pressure start control, welded channel "C" press, full radio frequency shielding, alluminum cabinet, welded seams, max overall height 72" Building ceiling). Installation of equipment to full working condition and fully operational training required. Provide specifications of machine with quote. The Government will award a firm fixed-price contract resulting from this soliciation to the responsible offer which is the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors conidered.
