NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for AUTOMATIC AC THERMOMETRY BRIDGE SYSTEM The Thermometry system consists of three parts. These are an AC Thermometry Bridge, AC / DC Standard Resistor and Thermal Enclosure, and Long Stem SPRT (Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer). These are to be purchased as a complete system to ensure compatibility of all components and comparability of results with current sources of succinonotrile after distillation and zone refinement. AC Thermometry Bridge: Automated Temperature Measurement System with 25 ohm resistor within a thermal enclosure and 25 ohm standard platinum resistance thermometer Resistance range: 0 to 4000 ohms Principal: AC Ratio Arm Bridge Zero Stability: <1 0.1 ppm / year Ratio Accuracy: 1 0.5 ppm or +/- 0.00050C Ratio Linearity: < 1 0.1 ppm Resolution: 0.25 ppm or 0.000250C Display Units: W(ratio) Current Source: 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10 mA & v2 multiplier Current type: 90 Hz AC Int. NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from ASL Inc., 100 Brickstone Square, Andover, MA 01810 in accordance with FAR 13.106. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Required delivery is 4 weeks ARO. Desired Delivery is Feb 9, 1999. Delivery is to be made to MSFC, Building 4471, Huntsville, AL 35812. SIC code for this requirement is 3826 and size standard is 500. Interested firms have until Jan. 25, 1999 to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/ capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after Jan. 25, 1999 without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
