for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR
12.6, as supplemented. This constitutes the only solicitation, quotes
are being requested and a paper copy will not be issued. Request for
Quote (RFQ)Number:DAHA1198T6312 incorporates provisions and clauses
current as of Federal Acquisition (FAC)97-10. This procurement is
set-aside for small business under SIC 3842 Orthopedic, Prosthetic and
Surgical Appliances and supplies. Size standard: 500 employees. There
are two items on this RFQ. Item 0001: Aircrew Vests quantity: 99 Item
0002: Ballistic Armor for vests in item 0001 quantity: 99. The
description is as follows: Vest, aircrew survival. For use by air
deployed forces. Must have approved AMC pocket configurations known as
Air Ace Aircrew Survival Vest. Base vest shall be constructed of high
strength Raschel knit mesh that is durable and fire retardant to FAR
25.853 with two permanent on-seam hand pockets each with tabbed snap
closures and two permanent inside "tear-away" low profile pockets.
Pockets shall be constructed of high strength fire retardant Cordura.
Base vest shall have affixed multiple rows of female Snap Track
attachment devices. Gear pockets shall include removable/attachment of
all pockets to the vest. Vest shall be supplied with eight removable
pockets, a holster and other gear carriers as specified in approved
configurations. Vest shall be one-size-fits-all with adjustments at the
waist and shoulders. Vest shall integrate with the Ace Advantage
Composite Body Armor. It shall also integrate with Ace Arrest rescue or
recovery harnesses, parachutes, and personal flotation devices. Fire
retardant to FAR 25.853 and NFPA 701. Color: Ultimate Terra. Survival
Inc Part Number: 1SVA-3A/MC2K or equal. Line Item 002 description as
follows: Armor, Soft Body. For use with above vest. Armor must meet
level IIIA as defined by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ)
Standard. Armor will be constructed from non inter-woven,
unidirectional aramid fiber. Composite ballistic material having an
area density not to exceed 1.2 pounds per square foot. Material shall
be inherently waterproof, hermetically sealed, and resistant to UV
light degradation. Armor shall be covered with lightweight fabirc in
panel form. Armor panels shall be removable and covered in fire
retardant, washable fabric. One size fits all construction with
shoulder and side protection. Panel covers shall have sewn in pockets
to allow addition of soft trauma packs, or ceramic or other armor
plates for additional protection up to NIJ Level IV. All carriers shall
be fire retardant to NFPA 701. Color: Ultimate Terra. Survival Inc.
Part Number: BA-2P/A-R (NIJ Certified Level IIIA) or equal. Delivery
Time: 60 days after receipt of order. FOB: Destination. The following
