The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS), intends to solicit for Marine Design Services for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The contractor shall provide comprehensive engineering services in the areas of naval architecture, mechanical, electrical/electronics, and environmental design. Services shall primarily be accomplished in the Kitsap County area. The contract will be solicited for a base year, with 4 one year options. The base year of performance is expected to begin in Oct 99. Source selection will be made based upon a greatest value evaluation. Oral presentations of technical capability and management approach will be required. Offerors shall be made aware that this synopsis is a follow-on to a prior synopsis for the required services, posted in the CBD on 02 Dec 98 (submission number 276439), which requested firms to review and comment on the draft RFP. Questions and comments are currently being reviewed and will be incorporated in the final version of the issued RFP. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or about 01 Feb 99 with a 30 day closing. When issued, the RFP will be available on the FISCPS web page.
