Mine Health and Safety Academy, U. S Dep't. of Labor, located at
Beaver, WV 25813. Academy consists of nine buildings, including a
residence hall with 160 double occupancy units. Contractor to furnish
all management, supervision, personnel, equipment, uniforms, and
incidental supplies to provide security in accordance with
specifications. Two types of guard services are required: roving and
stationary. Duties include, but are not limited to: perimeter, entry,
and interior security; and the enforcement of all applicable rules,
regulations, and procedures relating to the prevention and detection of
security breaches. Roving guards are to be provided Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday beginning at 1600 hours and endig at 0800 hours
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 0800 hours. A roving guard
is to be provided from Friday, 1600 hours to Monday, 0800 hours. A
roving guard is also to be provided 24 hours per day on all federal
holidays. Stationary guards are required as follows: guardhouse located
at main entrance to be manned on a 24-hour per day, 7-days a week
basis;main entrance reception desk to be manned from 0800 to 1600
hours, Monday thru Friday, except federal holidays; rear entrance
guardhouse to be manned from 0700 to 1600 hours, Monday thru Friday,
except federal holidays. Contractor will provide a supervisor of guards
and assistant to to supervise all other guards on all shifts. Primary
supervisor will work the evening shift from 1600 hours to 2400 hours,
Monday thru Friday. Additional duties may be assigned by the COTR or
CO, as needed. Such duties may include traffic and/or parking control
for special events, supplemental visitor security screening, or other
