Services, Nonpersonal, to provide all plant, labor, materials, transportation, supervision, facilities and expertise to construct an air traffic control facility at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan. The facility is to consist of a nine (9) story structure housing a radar approach control facility, equipment repair shops, training areas and admin spaces. The work includes, but is not limited to, erection of a steel framed metal paneled control tower complete with an elevator and glassed in control cab, a steel framed brick/block/metal paneled single story structure of approximately 10,000 SF with HVAC, electrical and communication work, water and sewer systems, support pilings, fencing and parking lot for approximately 90 vehicles. All work to be in strict accordance with the plans and specifications for project VGLZ 899650, "Replace Control Tower and RAPCON Center" at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan. The estimated magnitude of the proposed construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The performance period for construction is approximately 420 days. Plans, specifications and bid package are anticipated to be available by 2 Feb 99 on CD-ROM/Disk. There is no charge for the CD-ROM/Disk package, however, due to the limited quantity, one set per contractor will be distributed. Duplicate requests will not be honored. Invitation for Bid requests should be received by this office no later than 29 Jan 99 to insure timely receipt. No telephone requests will be accepted. This is an unrestricted solicitation, however, identification of large, small, woman owned and/or minority owned business must be indicated on the request for solicitation.
