The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, has identified a requirement to replace the chain link fences and gates located at the Nike Missle Site, Fort Barry, Sausalito, in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, California. The contractor shall remove and dispose of all existing fencing, fence posts and gates and install a new system within several feet of the original. This is a firm fixed price contract to install a new zinc coated metal fencing system to the exterior and interior perimeter fences and fabricate new gates at location referenced above. The site is a property listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing element to a potential National Historic Landmark district. The project will result in the total replacement-in-kind of the existing fence to maintain the historic integrity of the site, and will provide continued security for the valuable museum properties.
