25, 1999. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment,
transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to provide various
facilities repair, maintenance and alterations at the USCG Academy, New
London, CT, and for the USCG Group Long Island Sound facilities in New
Haven, and surrounding areas, and New London, CT. The U.S. Coast Guard
requires facilities repair, maintenance and alterations for the USCG
facilities identified above, which will be satisfied through the
issuance of fixed-price task orders. The type of work to be performed
under this contract includes, but is not limited to, the following task
areas: Carpentry/Finishing, Electrical, General Functions,
Plumbing/Pipefitting, HVAC and Mechanical. Contract will be for a
one-year period with four one-year option periods for a total of five
years. Estimated cost of this project is between $5,000,000 and
$10,000,000 (inclusive of all options). SIC code is 1522/1542. Project
performance times shall beaddressed in individual task orders.

Contracting Officer. The due date for receipt of proposals will on or
about March 29, 1999. This acquisition is issued pursuant to the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This project is

Business Enterprises: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) offers working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance, and

Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable.
