Z -- REPLACE HIGH VOLTAGE DISTRIBUTION AT GROUP PORT ANGELES, PORT ANGELES, WA SOL DTCG88-99-B-623324 DUE 030999 POC Almer Adams, Contracting Officer or Bid Issue Clerk (510) 535-7242 PRE-SOLICITATION DTCG88-99-B-623324-REPLACE HIGH VOLTAGE DISTRIBUTION AT GROUP PORT ANGELES, PORT ANGELES, WA.: Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary items required to accomplish the following Scope of Work: Install a new three phase, 12 KV high-voltage cable and hi-voltage vaults system to replace the existing 12 KV/5KV system, and abandon the existing system in place. Provide trenching (soil) to install approximately 4,000 ft linear of 4 inch PVC conduit, schedule 80. Replace two outdoor pad mounted 5KV stepdown transformers with 12 KV pad mounted stepdown transformers. Install 13, hi-voltage, one per branch outdoors Sectionalized Junction Boxes Vaults (SJB's) approximately 6ft x 4ft x 5ft, to be use for 12KV elbow connectors, and new 12 KV, 4/0 conductors. The conductors will be installed from the Main Entrance Gate to the Main Hangar Building, approximately 4,000 feet away. Each branch circuit, from each of the new 13 SJB, shall intercept and tap each of the existing transformers underground primary lines, thru lateral trenching, pull boxes and 4 inch underground PVC conduit. The additional lateral trenching distance is approximately 100 linear feet long per branch circuit, or 1,300 linear feet total for lateral trenching only. Portable generators will be required to minimize power outage time for each building during construction. Coordination with the Port Angeles City Light Company will also be required prior to the construction. Drawings and specifications can be purchased on a first come, first served basis, at the rate of $15. Requests will be accepted by mail only, and must include payment in the applicable amount by Cashier's Check, Money Order or Company Check made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard. The performance period is 90 calendar days after receipts of Notice to Proceed. The procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The applicable SIC code is 1623.
