Research Service, Midwest Area, Dairy Forage Research Center, Madison,
WI has the requirement for a Mitsubishi ASC-II Autosampler for a
Mitsubishi TN-05 Nitrogen Analyzer. This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. 5114-9-3108 is being
issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-10. The solicitation is solicited under full
and open competition. All interested businesses may submit a quotation.
Standard Industrial Classification Code 3826 with a corresponding size
standard of 500 employees applies to qualify as a small business. The
Mitsubishi Model ASC-II Autosampler allowsup to 50 vials to be loaded
for unattended analysis. It has a compact footprint (18" x 16") and
includes the sample tray, injector assembly, and carriage. It also
incorporates the electronics necessary to enter sample identities and
designate a sampling protocol, and to transfer this information to the
TN-05 analyzer. Any "equal" equipment to the Mitsubishi ASC-II
autosampler must meet the following salient characteristics in order to
be considered for award: The Autosampler must be able to communicate
fully with the TN-05 analyzer to allow unattended, automated analysis
of up to 50 samples. The Autosampler must be able to program access to
sample vials, including replicate injections, as well as needle rinses
and injection rate. The Autosampler must be able to load aqueous
samples of 1-200 ul and inject them into a Mitsubishi TN-05 nitrogen
analyzer. The Autosampler must be able to operate on 240 volts AC. The
Autosampler must have a minimum of one year warranty on both parts and
labor. Interested offerors should submit a price for Contract Line Item
No. 0001 Autosampler, Mitsubishi Model ASC-II or equal, 1 each,
Destination pricing. Delivery of the equipment shall be within 10 weeks
after receipt of the purchase order and shall be delivered to:

offer. Offers must include a commercial warranty for equipment (at
least one year parts and labor). Offer must include a 30 calendar day
