Request for Quote (RFQ) for the purchase of a Laser Vibrometer System,
consisting of: a) Ometron VPI Sensor Scanning Laser Vibrometer
w/Tripod; b) Ometron VS1000 Sensor Single Point Laser Vibrometer
w/Tripod or equal in accordance with the following specifications: One
scanning laser vibrometer with a CCD camera and one single point laser
vibrometer that are capable of simultaneous in dependent operation. The
scanning vibrometer must be controllerable via an RS-232 port, and
protocols must be provided. Bother sensors must operate with a Class II
laser. Scanning Vibrometer: Frequency Range: DC to 300KHZ; Maximum
Velocity: 1 M/S; Minimum Velocity: 1 MM/S; Minimum Field of View: 25
degrees by 25 degrees; Maximum Working Distance: >200M (with surface
treatment). Single Point Vibrometer: Frequency Range: DC to 300KHZ;
Maximum Velocity: 1 M/S; Minimum Velocity: 1 MM/S; Maximum Working
Distance: >200M (with surface treatment). This procurement is being
conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The
Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The
SIC Code and Size Standard are 3829 and 500 employees, respectively.
The DPAS Rating for this procurment is DO-C9. The anticipated release
date of RFQ 549-20168-0000/920 is on or about 02/08/99 with an
anticipated quote due date of on or about 02/23/99. All qualified
responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the
agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B". The
solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be
available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft
Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or PowerPoint 4.0) format and will
reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a
