previously synopsized in the January 15, 1999 issue of the Commerce
Business Daily is hereby corrected to read as follows: The Naval
Research Laboratory has a requirement for the fabrication of large
infrared glass windows of anticipated sizes of 13" x 7" x ", 13" x 10"
x ", 14" x 13" x ", and 19" x 17" x 1" with a high degree of
homogeneity and exhibiting greater than 50% transmittance. These
glasses must transmit in the wavelength region of 0.5 -- 5.0
micrometers. The Specifications will be included with the solicitation.
The Government anticipates award of an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite
Quantity (IDIQ) firm fixed price contract with a three year total
contract life. The minimum quantity to be ordered will be four (4)
windows and the maximum quantity that may be ordered will be
four-hundred and sixteen (416) windows. The solicitation will close 30
days after the solicitation issuance date. Numbered Note 26 applies.
The NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to
RFPs. The solicitation and any amendments to it will be available via
the Internet at the URL address shown below. Paper copies of the RFP
