Ohrwashel, Contract Specialist 212-264-0154 Furnish all materials and equipment and construct a new radome (antenna) building with new utilidor connecting computer building. The new utilidor will be approximately 510 feet (155m) in length, corrugated metal pipe structure, that will provide the primary personnel access from the existing computer facility to the new radome. The utilidor will also serve as a conduit for heating and power supply to the new randome. The new ramdome building is a reinforced concrete, 2 story structure that is approximately 58 feet (18m) in diameter. The second story will provide a platform for the antenna and dome (Dome and antenna are not in this contract) The first floor will house general, mechanical and electrical equipment areas for the support of the antenna operation. The project is located at the BMEWS Site 1, which is appoximately 12 miles (20 km) from the Thule Main Base. A ship leaves Norfolk, Va in the second week of July 99. All items to be shipped by the Contractor must be palletized and at the Norfolk docks and/or Esbjerg docs, before 4 June 99. Estimated range is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Issue date of the solicitation is on or about 02 February 1999. Bid Opening date is on or about 30 days after issue date or 2 March 1999.
