This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for the construction of a Fuel Cell/Corrosion Facility for the 136th Airlift Wing, Texas Air National Guard at Carswell Field, NAS Fort Worth JRB, Fort Worth, Texas. The work will consist of construction of a 23,167 square foot hanger facility to provide C-130 aircraft fuel cell maintenance; corrosion control; and wash dock. The site work includes modifications and improvements to airfield and paving and drainage, and various utility extensions and connections including electrical service, water, sanitary sewer, fire water transmission, natural gas, and incidental related work. The facility construction consists of, but is not limited to, the following: civil work, concrete reinforced drilled piers, concrete work, asphalt paving, structural steel, concrete masonry units, exterior insulation finish system, metal doors and frames, vertical lift hanger doors, metal railings, paint booth, mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, toilet partitions and accessories, floor tile and base, paint, louvers, exhaust fans, standing seam metal roofing, low sloped roofs, insulated metal wall panels, fire detection and reporting system, fire suppression system, mechanical equipment platforms, and pressurized wash equipment. This solicitation includes bid options that may not be awarded. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The solicitation will be issued o/a February 26, 1999 with Bid Opening on March 30, 1999. The construction period is 370 calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed. Plans and Specifications will be available for inspection at plans rooms and F.W. Dodge. Request for Solicitations will be accepted only by written request accompanied by a $125.00 non-refundable cashiers check or Postal money order made payable to: The Treasurer of the United States. The proposed contract is being considered for 100 percent small business set-aside.
