The Work To Be Performed Consists of Maintenance Work To Interiors Of Various Permanent Family Housing Quarters at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. Principal features of work includes, but is not limited to preparation of all surfaces to be painted, caulking of bathroom fixtures, painting of all previously painted surfaces, painting of prefinished metal and wood cabinets, refinishing of natural finish wood cabinets, paint of some previously unpainted surfaces, replacement of deteriorated gypsum board or plaster, furnish and install stripable vinyl wall covering in bathrooms, furnish and install drapery rods, perform lead paint abatement work and proper lead paint procedures, perform lead paint testing and inspection. Replace lavatories, floor and wall tile, shower and tub supply fixtures. Furnish and install new countertops, new cabinets, new stainless steel sink and garbage disposal. Removal and replacement of floor finish and underlayment. Estimated cost range is greater than $10,000,000.00. Solicitation will be issued on 22 February 1999 with a date for receipt of proposal on 12 April 1999. The proposed contract is listed as an 8(a) Set-Aside and is limited only to those Program Participants having a bona fide place of business located within the geographical boundaries of the Baltimore District Office pursuant to 13CFR 124.50(c) (2).
