Scope of Work: Replace existing hot water boilers with new. Replace heating water pumps, expansion tank, boiler gas vents and piping as required. Provide new air separator, primary and secondary piping and circulation pumps, isolation and control valves, gas piping train, piping thermal insulation, and miscellaneous heating system appurtenances. Provide snow melt system heat exchanger. Replace the hot water unit heater in the boiler room with new. Provide electrical motor control starters, wiring and conduit to support mechanical equipment. Provide alarm, monitoring and control function"points" tie-in of the heating system with the existing building control system. Provide test and balance and functional performance testing of equipment. This acquisition is being procured under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is open for competition by both large and small businesses. The estimated construction cost range is between $200,000 and $350,000. The evaluation criteria used in the evaluation of offers submitted under this solicitation will be: (1) Similar Experience and Past Performance, (2) Project Management Capabilities, and (3) price. In addition, those firms determined to be the most highly qualified may be required to participate in Oral Presentations following review of initial proposals. The Solicitation Issue Date will be o/a 2/8/99. The date of Receipt of Proposals will be o/a 3/1/99. The dates for the Site Visit and/or Pre-Proposal Conference will be announced in the Solicitation when issued. Award is expected to take place o/a 3/20/99.
