Applicable to the Turbine Engine of the CH-47 Aircraft. The Government intends to issue an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Type contract with five consecutive ordering periods. The minimum quantity is 152 each and the maximum quantity is 311 each. Delivery will be FOB Destination to Texarkana, TX. Required delivery with First Article Testing is 52 each, 446 DACA and 50 each per month thereafter, First Article Test report is due 272 DACA. Required delivery without First Article Test is 52 each, 285 DACA and 50 each month thereafter until completion. This procurement requires prequalification. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1. Only one source or only a limited number of responsible sources. Approved sources are Allied Signal, Inc. and Split Ball Bearing. Only approved sources who have successfully completed the required engineering test will be considered for award of this flight safety part. The time required for approval of new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations IAW the instructions contained in Section L of the solicitation.
