66 -- REPLACE TWO AUTOCLAVES SOL 1999N00047 POC Grace White, Contract Specialist, (404) 842-6553 The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a solicitation for proposals to replace two (2) autoclaves in Building 15 of its Clifton Road facility. In addition to providing and installing the replacement autoclaves, the contractor shall provide final hookup of all utilities at the autoclave units and start the units to ensure functionality. The second unit will be installed approximately six (6) to ten (10) months after the first due to the operational requirements of the laboratory. Removal of existing autoclaves; preparing the building to receive the new autoclaves; and installation of utilities for connection of new autoclaves will be performed by the Government. This solicitation is issued for purchase of a commercial item under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) of FAR Part 13.6, Test Program. The solicitation will be available on or about February 11, 1999, with proposals due approximately 30 days after release of the solicitation.
