This ongoing analysis requires experience in many lab functions, including general and specialized sample prep leading to uncontaminated, high purity, mineral separations required for high precision geochronology and highly specialized isotopic chemistry for U-Pb geochronology and Pb isotope geochemistry. A Ph.D. is required as well as familiarity with the USGS facility in Menlo Park, CA where the sample preparation takes place. Quality control is of the utmost importance and therefore the USGS facility is utilized. This is a sole source requirement due to the unique capabilities required for the tasks involved in this project. It is 100% set-a-side for small business. All responsible sources may submit a proposal not later than 2/8/99,which will be considered by our agency. Deliverables are in accordance with our statement of work and shall be delivered within 14 days from receipt of sample, but not later than 2/11/2000. All questions shall be directed to the CO.
