The following provides the questions along with the responses: (1) (1) Is the building new or existing? This is a new Federal Courthouse.(2) Are there Drop (T-bar) ceilings? Removable drop ceilings.(3) Who is the local Telco Vendor? The local telephone vendor is US West Communications. General Services Technology Service is the vendor for the telephone lines currently used in the office.(4) When can access to the building be possible? January 21, 1999(5) What is the application for the teflon cable? Forced Air Return -- Cable must be teflon, fire retardant cable, to be run in the ceiling. Cable must meet fire code regulation. (6) Is plenum cable required for the voice and data runs? Yes (7) What type of jacks are required and what is the termination, patch panel or 66 block? The jack requirement for telephones RJ11C and data jack requirement is RJ145S. Telephone termination on M66 blocks. Data terminate on level 5 patch level.(8) When will the lines be brought to the office? Confirmation of the actual move date is unknown at this time. Approximate move date is Feb 8, 1999.(9) Is the system to be rack or wall mounted? Is there or will there be backboard in place? System is to be wall mounted. Backboard is installed. (10) Where is the 21X located? Within USSS space. (11) Is there a dedicated circuit for the telephone system? The telephone system will have 7 centrex telephone and 4 DID trunks. (12) What is required on the building permit? Who's the point of contact. The City Building Permit is required for any contractor working in the New Federal Courthouse. All vendors must contact the City of Minneapolis to acquire the permit. There are specific qualifications and information that must be provided to insure general liability coverage. Certification on installation, programming, and training on NEC Professional II Telephone System is required.
