and equipment necessary to perform drydocking repairs including but not
limited to the following base items: (1) Preserve and Disinfect Potable
Water Tank, (2) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Bow and Starboard Tail
Shaft, (3) Overhaul Bow Stern Tube Seal, (4) Overhaul Starboard Stern
Tube Seal, (5) Renew Port and Starboard Stern Tube Flange Mounting
Threads, (6) Remove and Reinstall Bow Propeller, (7) Remove and
Reinstall Starboard Propeller, (8) Preserve the Transducer Hull Rings
and Renew the Depth Indicating Transducers, (9) Upgrade Main Diesel
Engine Ventilation Systems, (10) Overhaul Renew and Test Valves, (11)
Remove Inspect and Reinstall Rudder, (12) Overhaul Anchors and Anchor
Chains, (13) Preserve Chain Locker, (14) Preserve Shaft Alley Bilges,
(15) Clean, Inspect, and Repair Aft Peak Tank, (16) Preserve Aft Peak
Tank, (17) Preserve Freeboard, (18) Provide Temporary Messing, (19)
Provide Temporary Logistics, and (20) Routine Drydocking. Option items
include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) Welding Repairs,
(2) Shaft Rigging and Crating, (3) Government-furnished Shaft
Inspection, (4) Shaft Weld Inlay Repairs, (5) Renew Water-Lubricated
Bearing, (6) Overhaul Renew and Test Valves, (7) Ultrasonic Testing,
(8) Provide Temporary Logistics, (9) Composite Labor Rate, (10)
Laydays. Vessel's homepier is Cheboygan, MI. Place of performance is
restricted to the Great Lakes of the United States. Vessel's
availability schedule is on or about 17 May 1999 for 49 calendar days.
Vessel is a 290 Foot Icebreaker. All referenced documents are
available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500, Norfolk, VA.
A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified check or
money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit
bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or after 15 February 1999. All responsible sources may submit
a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard.

Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of
lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation
