On or about 11 Feb 99, the Industrial Operation Command (IOC) is issuing Step One of Solicitation DAAA09-99-R-0020 for the following services: Ammunition Supply Depot Operations, demilitarization and renovation of Conventional Ammunition, Tenant Support, and management of the Hawthorne Army Depot, Hawthorne, NV. The step one solicitation will include draft performance based statements of work that will allow offerors considerable latitude to propose innovative approaches, based on their expertise and experience. Our requirements for ammunition Supply Depot Operations require the successful offeror to perform at a Tier II level. Tier II facilities store War Reserve ammunition to be used after the first 30 days. They are partially staffed in peacetime, but would increase staffing when needed.
