U -- HELICOPTER MAINTENANCE COURSE SOL 0110-XXXXXX DUE 021999 POC Barbra Postell, Contract Specialist 202-776-8743 (FAX 202-776-8775) The American Embassy Bogota, Narcotics Affairs Section has a requirement for helicopter maintenance courses. ALL COURSES MUST BE PRESENTED IN SPANISH AND CLASSES WILL BE HELD IN COLOMBIA, BOGOTA. This requirement consist of the following courses: 1. UH-1HP(Huey II) Crew Chief Maintenance is a 160 hour sourse which is a comprehensive study of the model UH-1HP (Huey II) helicopter including a detailed analysis of each of the following systems: Weight and Balance, Ground Handling and Servicing, Inspections, Power-train, Airframe, Rotating Controls Fuel System, and Hydraulic systems. 2. UH-1HP (Huey II) Field Maintenance is a 160 hour course which is a comprehensive study of the model UH-1HP (Huey II) helicopter component description, operation function, location and access provisions will discussed at the field maintenance level. 3. UH-1HP (Huey II) Electrical Maintenance is an 80 hour course which is a comprehensive study of the UH-1HP (Huey II)helicopter electrical system, including a detailed analysis of circuits in each of the following categories: D.C and A.C power distribution, powertrain systems, airframe systems, utility systems, indicating systems, troubleshooting and operational checks. 4. Model 212 Crew Chief Maintenance is a 160 hour course which is a comprehensive study of the model 212 helicopter component description, operation, function, location and access provisions will be discussed at the Crew Chief Maintenance Level. 5. Model 212 Field Maintenance is a 160 hour course which is a comprehensive study of the model 212 helicopter component description, operation, function, location and access provisions will be discussed at the field maintenance level. 6. Model UH-1HP (Huey II) Component Repair and Overhaul Maintenance is a 160 hour course which enable a certificated airframe mechanic to meet the Federal Aviation Administration requirements of FAR part 65.81, General privileges and limitations on the UH-1HP (Huey II) major components. 7. Modle UH-1H Component Repair and Overhaul Maintenance is a 160 hour course which enables a certificated airframe mechanic to meet the Federal Aviation Administration requirements of FAR part 65.81, General privileges and limitations on the UH-1H major components. 8. UH-1HP (Huey II) Pilot Ground Training is a 1 week course which will cover the cockpit controls and instrumentation airframe, powerplant and all aircraft systems. For all of the above courses, troubleshooting procedures shall be discussed utilizing known and probable faults. IMPORTANT: The solicitation is contained in this notice.
