This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number for this acquisition is F38601-99-R0003 and is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). Standard industrial classification is 3621 and small business size standard is 1000 employees. This solicitation will be procured using commercial item procedures and award will be based on lowest bid/technically acceptable. Item 0001 -- Engine, Diesel Cummins Engine P/N KTA38-G2 or equal, for use on Cummins 750 KW Generator Set Model MEP, Series 012A, Quantity 4 EA. All proposals areto include FOB destination prices. Delivery to USCENTAF, 611 Lark Road, Bldg 1960, Shaw AFB, SC 29152-5000. Required delivery date shall be no later than 10 May 99. It is desired to have delivery spaced with a quantity of 1 EA delivered 30 days after receipt of award and the remaining quantities each spaced 30 days apart with final delivery no later than 10 May 99.
