The Naval Inventory Control Point-Mechanicsburg is attempting to identify additional sources for the manufacture of Preformed Graphite Seal Rings. These rings are used in applications for a ship's nuclear reactor and must conform to the following Military Specification: MIL-P-24503, Packing Material, Graphite Corrugated Ribbon or Textured Tape and Preformed Ring. The following Military Standard and Drawing also apply to this requirement: MIL-STD-129, Revision H(Notices 1-4), Marking for Shipment and Storage, Drawing 820-6652460, Revision F, Graphitic Packing.
