Announcement _ Stage II DESC _ Architect/Engineering Services _ Design
Excellence _ for the New United States Courthouse in Gulfport, MS. The
following firms have been short-listed for this project: DLR Architect,
Omaha, NE; RM Kliment and Frances Halsband, New York, NY; KCF/SHG,
Washington, DC; Scogin Elam and Bray Architect, Atlanta, GA; Skidmore,
Owings & Merrill, New York, NY; and Robert A.M. Stern Architect, New
York, NY. The short-listed firms will develop the complete project
team. It is not necessary to re-submit information submitted in the
Stage One selection process. Stage II selection shall be based upon: 1)
Experience, Background, Qualifications, and Design Ability of Key
Personnel committed to the Project Team (40%); 2) Project Management
Approach (20%); 3) Special Consideration for metric experience,
sustainability, design and production facilities and compatibility to
office automation, Autocad, and Prolog Manager) (15%); 4) Design
Experience and Approach of Project Team, (25%).Each short-listed firm
will be interviewed and is required to submit SF254_s and SF255_s for
the entire project team, and three (3) copies of the Stage II submittal
information listed above to the office and address listed below. This
information must be received by that office no later than 3:00 p.m.,
February 23, 1999. Late submittals will be handled in accordance with
FAR 52.215-10. General Services Administration, 401 W. Peachtree
Street, Suite 2500, Atlanta, GA, 30365 Attn: Ms. Dequilla Burnett. The
General Services Administration will host a networking session for
small, small disadvantaged, and women _owned small business to meet
with the key designers and their proposed production firms for possible
teaming opportunities. Each short-listed firm is invited to send a
representative to the networking session. This networking session is
intended to provide designers and production firms with the opportunity
to meet with small, minority, and women-owned businesses who may be
considered as consultants. Thenetworking session is also intended to
assist the short-listed firms in meeting the established minimum goals
for subcontracting with small, minority and women owned firms. The
networking session is scheduled for January 29, 1999 from 9:00 a.m. to
12:00 p.m. Central Time. The session will be held at City Hall, 2309
