DTCG80-99-P-3FA770 on a sole source basis to Ambar Marine under the
authority of FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is for complete restoration
of AM550CPB #2 to its original condition. The following items need to
be perfomed in order to restore the RBI to its original condition;
Engine, the removal and re-installation, replacement of starter,
alternator, gaskets, belts, O-rings wiring harnesses, and filters. Hull
Restoration, sandblast entire boat, pull dents, with aluminum epoxy,
reapplication of zinc chromate primer and safety orange paint system,
replacement of sponsons. Topside, the re-application of anti-skid,
replacement of the jet hatch cover and seat, replacement of upholstery,
replacement of entire electrical system to include fuse panel and gage
package. Other miscellaneous improvements are to re-seal the
transmission housing with primer and paint, replace transmission hoses
and fittings with brass instead of alloy, and upgrade the electrical
panel, all to reducethe potential for oxidation. The sponsons will have
a 7" rub strake instead of the 3" ones on it now which will provide
better quality foam and a more durable sheath. Also replace the Jet
Impeller with a new one that will increase the boat's speed by 2 to 3
knots. The performance period will be January 28th, 1999 through March
8th, 1999. The standard industrial classification code is 3732 and the
size standard is 500 employees. Interested persons may identify their

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However
all quotes received after the date of publication of this synopsis
will be considered by the government. A determination by the government
not to compete with the proposed contract upon responses to this notice
is solely with the discretion of the government. Information received
will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining
whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone requests
