Alameda Parkway is seeking contractors, firms, or individuals to perform third party reviews at National Park Service facilities in Denver, Colorado and in Washington, D.C. to evaluate systems and equipment for Year 2000 compliance to ensure that National Park Service embedded microchip technologies are Year 2000 compliant and will perform effectively before, on, and after January 1, 2000. Specific requirements include: Awareness and assessment; Contingency planning, Renovation and testing; Independent validation and verification (IV & V); and, Management certification. Services require inventorying and evaluating various equipment from cameras, TVs, to facsimile machines, scanners, etc., assessing equipment/system to determine risk category, requesting vendor letters of certification of Y2K compliance, preparing contingency plans covering at least 4 weeks, reviewing and evaluating contract documents, assisting in IV&V of various embedded microchip technologies that could affect life, health, and/or safety, or disrupted critical operations throughout NPS. Findings will be reported in easy-to-understand charts. The NPS, will provide workspace, as well as logistical support, at the Denver Service Center in Denver, Colorado. This requirement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. The SIC code for this requirement is 7389, the size standard is $5 Million per year.
