INDUSTRY WORKSHOP AND STATE OF ESC LUNCHEON The Lexington-Concord Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) in participation with the USAF Electronic Systems center (ESC) is pleased to announce a one-day workshop to be held on 27 January 1999. The Electronic Systems Center at Hanscom AFB, MA is one of the Air Force Materiel Command's major acquisition centers. ESC specializes in the acquisition of electronic systems, notably Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence Systems. The theme of the workshop is Managing C2 as a Weapons System. Topics and speakers are as follows: "Evolutionary Acquisition and Spiral Development," Mr. Dave Carstairs; "CUBE," Lt. Col. Les Cox; "Combined Test Force and C2TIC," Col. Norm Johnson; "State of ESC Speech," Lt. Gen. Ron Kadish; "EFX 98 and 99 -- Process v. Results & the Integrated C2 System," BG (Sel) Trey Obering; "Application of Domain in the Combat AF SPO," Mr. Sean Mullen. The workshop will end with a Q&A period with all of the speakers chaired by Lt. Gen. Kadish. The program will be held at the Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA in conjunction with the annual State of ESC Message by Lt. Gen. Ronald Kadish, ESC Commander. The registration fee of $125 for members and $150 for non-members for the workshop will be used to defray expenses incidental to the conduct of the program. This includes printing and mailing costs, administrative expenses, continental breakfast, State of ESC Luncheon, reception and a contribution to the Chapter's General Fund.
