shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation,
supervision and disposal necessary for new storage facility building at
USCG Station Cape Cod Canal, Sandwich, MA (Barnstable County). Work
includes the construction of a new one-story, slab on grade, 20' x 48'
free standing storage building of wood frame construction. Roof
framing shall be pre-engineered roof trusses. Exterior of building
shall be covered in white solid vinyl siding to match nearby existing
building. New solid vinyl windows. Roof shall have minimum 280 lb.
asphalt fiberglass shingles. There shall be one 10' x 10' overhead door
at one end. Contractor shall cut and excavate existing paved parking
lot to install new turned down concrete slab. New building will have no
heat. Electrical power shall be run from nearby building in grade by
cutting a trench to new facility. Estimated cost of this project is

Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT
Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000. For
