This acquisition is to establish a requirements type repair contract for the repair of the AN/ALQ-135 Bands 1 & 2 Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs) used on the F-15 aircraft. The resulting contract is contemplated to be a Cost Plus Fixed-Fee for five (5) years, basic year and four annual option periods. Two TWTs will be repaired, they are the Band 2 TWT (NSN: 5960- 01-050-4820EW OR 5960-01-039-0092EW) and the Band 1 TWT (NSN: 5960-01-050- 4819EW OR 5960-01-042-3337EW). The required delivery is 60 days after receipt of asset. The Best Estimated Quantities (BEQs) for each TWT are the following annual quantities. Band 2 TWT: Base year-62, option I-77, option II-77, option III-77 & option IV-70. Band 1 TWT: Base year-43, otion I-43, option II-45, option III-43 & option IV-41. The only other requirement under this solicitation is for the applicable repair data reporting (G009 & AFTO 349). The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
