R -- PROVIDE SUPPORT TO HRSA CENTER FOR MANAGED CARE SOL HRSA-99-OA-005 DUE 022599 POC Aileen Broider-301-443-5231 The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting proposals in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. In accordance with Part 13, award will be limited to Small Business concerns. The purpose of this procurement is to provide analysis, advice, technical assistance (TA), reports and other requested services to provide support to the HRSA Center for Managed Care (CMC) on issues related to the impact of managed care on safety net providers and health professions education programs The contractor shall: develop written recommendations for the organization and operation of the TA Center Ad Hoc Consultation Group and Ad Hoc Steering Committee and facilitate meetings of these two groups; prepare a summary of first year accomplishments and issues of the TA center, an update of HRSA's constituent needs related to managed care and recommendations for year 2 of the TA Center's operation; conduct two focus group meetings with customers who have used the TA Center to obtain feedback on ways to improve the Center's services; develop the requirements for a study on the impact of community-wide health care financing changes on HRSA funded providers' ability to care for the uninsured and underinsured; develop the requirements for a follow-up study on the impact of managed care on HIV/AIDS, and maternal and child health providers; and prepare several reports.
