The solicitation number has been changed from DTMA91-99-B-00022 to DTMA91-99-R-00022. The Maritime Administration (MARAD) proposes to procure by soliciting competitive proposals layberthing services for three vessels on the U.S Central Atlantic Coast (i.e. the states of Maryland, Virginia or North Carolina). The period of performance is one year with four one-year options. Multi-beam Echo soundings with a swath coverage between 89 to 181 degrees, frequency between 159-461 kHz and use of Global Positioning System (GPS) for positioning are required each year. A request for proposals (RFP) will be issued on or about February 9, 1999 and the closing date for proposals will be on or about March 12, 1999 (these dates supersede the dates posted on MARAD's web page). The acquisition being offered is limited to eligible 8(a) concerns (nationwide). The standard industrial code is 4499.
