This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number is F0160099Q0406; award will be made using Request for Proposal (RFP)acquisition procedures. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisitin circular 97-10. This is an unrestricted procurement. The standard industrial classification is 3531 and the small business size standard is 750. The requirement consists of one line item: 0001 -- dual drum vibratory roller used for asphalt compaction. Quantity is 1 each. The following specifications are MINIMUM requirements: 5460 lbs operating weight; 47.2 inch drum width; 27.5 inch drum diameter, 6550 lbs centrifugal force; both or rear vibrating drums; propulsion is closed loop hydrostatic parallel circuit to drums; 31 horse power diesel enginer; brakes are dynamic hydrostatic through propulsion system; centerpoint articulation steering; water system is pressurized with electric pump; sping-loaded, self-adjusted neoprene drum wipers; 10-inch curb clearance; 12-volt battery; illuminated gauges and cocoa mats. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors -- Commercial Items (Aug 1998) applies to this acquisition. Delivery is 60 days ARO. Delivery is to be made to 42 CES/CEOHH, Bldg 1334, Maxwell AFB AL 36112. Inspection and acceptance is same as delivery address. Offer shall specify FOB: Destination, Maxwell AFB AL. Provision FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999) is included. Evaluation statement states: "The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
